I'm still new to this, but I'm using this post to display my want list or some of it at least. Here's the list:
Jersey/Auto/Relic cards: One of each MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL player. Any dupes will be up for trade.
New York Mets cards-I would like to have one of each mets card ever issued.
Complete sets for baseball.- I'm working on back years topps sets.
One wintage card of each NHL, NBA, NFL player.
Detriot Red Wings-Base Cards preferably. Would not mind insets as well.
MLB: Ryan Braun/Ryan Zimmerman/ Albert Puljos/Paul Konerko/Mike Piazza cards
NFL: Devin Hester, Fred Taylor, Mark Brunell, Kurt Warner, Randy Moss, Doug Flutie/Trent Edwards, Brady Quinn cards
NBA: Larry Bird, Robert Parrish, Kevin McHale, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Glen Davis, Rajon Rondo, Brandon Roy, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Christian Laettner
NHL: Wayne Gretzky, Steve Yzerman, Felix Potvin, Eric Fichaud, Bryan Berard, Wade Reddon, Sergei Fedorov, Martin Brodeur, Pavel Datsuk, Henrik Zetterberg, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Marc-Andre Fleury, John Tavares...
If anyone has any of these cards, please email me at knighthawklacrosse@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Tom

The Mets-What's going on?
Well as a Mets fanatic-I'm not too happy with what I see so far. The starting pitching seems to be coming around with the exception of Oliver Perez and Livan Hernandez. Jonathon Niese and Dillon Gee would be better replacements although the best shot at redemption seems to be at Class AA Binghamton.
The Hitting needs to be more consistent with runners in scoring position. It looks like Daniel Murphy could be the 1st baseman according to the NY Post. This could open up the chance of a Carlos Lee trade. we NEED a run producer and FAST!

2009 Goudey baseball box break, et. al.
Saw my buddy Dan (whose blog i'm now following) open a box of Goudey on Wednesday and the set caught my eye. Bought it Fridaya and after opening it, I was a tad disappointed. no relic cards, but an Autograph of Ozzie Smith. I was estatic about the Ozzie Smith auto. A hall of famer in my collection -YES!-. Well Dan I have to diagree with you on two of the subsets. they are part of the set. i like the sports royalty and the other subet that you didn't like. they are awesome throwback cards to a throwback set. thanks for the heads up on the 2nd box in your blog. i'm amped up for some potential trade bait. i still wouldn't mind completing the set though. I got a jump start on the UD 2009 A Piece of History this morning on my way to work. I stopped at the local flea market on my way to work and got a bunch for a cheap price. I'm looking forward to completing that set. the inserts (which I normally don't collect) are so cool. throwback style circa 1900-1910's rule. I love the subset with actual historical events especially since I'm a history buff. we're talking best of both worlds here. Now I'm also amped up about the bowman, UD series 2 and Topps series two releases within the next month. I will be using some of my future blogs for want lists as well as the my space page that i have.

newcomer
wanted to post my first blog. can't complain about life these days. this is my fave time of year-spring training. can't wait to see how my mets do this year. the pitching's improved, the elineup's a tad jumbled-jose reyes batting #3, beltran's #2 and Wright's the cleanup hitter. this is gonna be very interesting to say the least. i actually like this. well as for potential sleeper teams for '09-royals and nationals top the list. i called the rays rising last year. my crew will vouch for me. well, it's been a fun 1st blog. more on the way.
regards,
Tom
